The James Bond of Website Copywriting | writeimage

James Bond
I?ve been a fan of Daniel Craig?s portrayal of British super-spy James Bond ever since he came to the wildly successful franchise. He?s almost singlehandedly reversed a decades-long decline in acting and storytelling as the films came more and more to rely on gadgets, guns and girls for box-office appeal. Skyfall continues that good pattern

Why do legions of fans like the new James Bond? The same reason lots of clients like what we do. You might say we?re like the James Bond of website copywriting.

A few points of similarity:

1. Not Just a Hired Gun. Bond is a highly trained professional and a bulldog for Her Majesty?s Secret Service, going to the ends of the Earth to get the job done.

We also work with clients long-term, doing whatever we can do to help them prosper through highly-targeted messaging and calls to action that hit the bullseye.

2. Plays to Win. Bond rolls with the punches, patches himself up and throws himself back into the fray until the goal is achieved.

When we?ve got a SEO website copywriting project, we are bloody-minded about getting the job done. If a section doesn?t quite gel together like the client wants on a first draft, we?ll attack the problem again until it?s ?mission accomplished?.

3. Doesn?t Rely on Technology. Q has made a comeback with Skyfall, but Daniel Craig?s Bond still seems to get the job done without the need to resort to gadgets like submersible cars or a laser-packing wristwatch.

We like technology. We use it where it makes our job easier. But we understand that software, apps and mobile devices are just things that help us do our job. The human element is still front and center in website copywriting. Doing it right takes training, good instincts and and keen business intelligence.

4. Works well with others. When Bond is deep undercover, it may seem like he?s working alone. In reality, he has to constantly get people to help him accomplish the mission (whether they realize they?re helping him or not).

We will often act as project manager, bringing in website developers or graphic designers as needed to help deliver a finished website for a client. We also consider the client to be a partner, proving us with the raw data and direction we need to do our job properly, for mutual benefit.

5. Very Social. Oddly enough for a secret agent, just about everyone seems to know James Bond?s name. He must have lots of friends on Facebook and Twitter.

We don?t just write website content; we advise and help our clients to connect on social media platforms with the customers who love them. It?s not enough to have great content ? you need to make sure people see it. Otherwise, it?s about as public as a secret spy message stuck in a locked box in a villain?s lair.

Need some help with your next communications, marketing or copywriting project? We?re ready to carry out your mission.
