Why is physical education not important in schools anymore?

Well. This is news to me. I graduated from High School last year, but we were required to take at least 4 physical education classes before we graduated. And believe me when I tell you that I am NOT a phys. ed kind of girl. Uncoordinated is my middle name.

But I guess that in the big picture- exercise is not really some sort of acquired skill that kids need for their lives outside of school. Who really cares if you know how to play football or basketball if you don?t plan on doing it professionally anyways?
And hell yes sex education is more important than physical education. Here?s an example:

Billy doesn?t know how to play football, but he also doesn?t know what a condom is. Billy decides that he wants to get more ?physical? with his girlfriend instead of with a football. Is Billy?s life changed because:

a) he doesn?t how to kick a football so he sucks in bed?

b) his girlfriend finds him unattractive because he doesn?t know how to play football?

c) his girlfriend gets pregnant and suddenly Billy finds himself having to work two jobs and be forced to marry his girlfriend because of their bouncing bundle of joy?

The correct answer is C, in case your brain is smaller than average.

What I?m mainly trying to communicate is that there are much more important things than Physical Education. Much, much more important things.
